Scarefest at Newark Castle πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ¦‡πŸŽƒπŸ‘»πŸ¦‡

Please see information below from Rachel from the Children’s Bereavement Center to let you know about a couple of fundraising events for families. The events are raising funds for the Children’s Bereavement Centre and are family orientated.

  • Scarefest – Sunday October 29th– Newark Castle Grounds 10am-4pm – a Halloween themed family event (spooky rather than scary) with live entertainment and games. The Castle Grounds are free to enter and wrist bands for the children can be purchased for Β£10 per child which gives access to more activities and games. More information can be found here https://www.childrensbereavementcentre.co.uk/event/scarefest
  • Duck Race – Sunday October 29th – River Trent in front of the Castle – 1pm. This event is being organised by Newark Round Table and is raising funds for them and the Children’s Bereavement Centre. Small ducks are available to sponsor for Β£2 each and as part of this event, Newark Round Table are offering large ducks free of charge to schools for you to decorate. They have 15 large ducks to give away and they will be allocated on a first come first served basis. We do need them back before Friday October 27th and appreciate that with the half term this doesn’t give you much time but it should be great fun for your pupils to do and a different way to promote your school. If you would like to have a duck to decorate please contact Steve at chairman@newarkroundtable.co.uk and he will deliver your duck tomorrow, Tuesday October 17th.
