School meals at Lovers’ Lane Primary and Nursery School
Our School Cook, Mrs Hassall and her team work very hard to make sure every child in school enjoys their meal when they have school dinners. Our kitchen team have a 5 star Food Hygiene rating. We are immensely proud of our kitchen staff, not only for the high quality food they produce consistently, but also for their care and nurture of the children.
All new families to the school are welcome to meet our cook on a tour of the school and discuss their child’s dietary requirements.
Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 are entitled to free school meals from the government. When the children go into KS2 the cost of a school meal is £2.40 per meal.
Dinner money should be paid in advance on Parent Pay wherever possible and dinner money debt must be settled as soon as possible.
Should debt occur we will not provide school dinners to your child until the debt is cleared in full and you will be expected to provide a packed lunch (sandwiches) for you child until that time. Failure to clear outstanding debt will be referred to the Local Authority. Contact the school office with any queries about payment needs. School can support parents in need with applications for Free School Meals.
