Phonics - Videos sent by text. If you are not receiving these, please let me know.
English - We are going to be doing something a little different today! We are going to start drafting ideas for a shape poem linked to 'fire'. This session we are going to spend time thinking about words, phrases and sentences linked the Great Fire. You can have a mixture of individual words, two or three words to make a phrase and full sentences.
Think about: What sounds can you hear with a fire? What colours might you see? What would you smell? What can you feel? Use the work you have already done on senses the other week to help you with deveoping your ideas. Your poem doesnn't have to rhyme either but you could have some parts that rhyme. Today is all about getting your ideas down on paper. We will organise and present it tomorrow.
Have a look at the other shape poems in the pictures below.
Maths - Flashback 4 to set you started. Watch the video to help you with the task. Today's is about odd and even numbers.
Science - As we continue our topic on everyday materials I am going to hand you over to the Oak National Academy. Today we are looking at 'What materials float and sink?'. Follow the intructions on the video. If you would like to take part in the experiment, you will need a coin or small metal object, a cotton ball or pad, stones, a pencil and a bowl of water.
Well-being - Have a look at these slides for 'Wishes Wednesday'.
