Literacy: Tabby McTat story map
Today I would like you to draw the last pictures for your Tabby McTat story map. Try to label any parts you can for example we can Fred Talk some of the words we might need:
'F - r - e - d'
'C - a - t'
If we were trying to Fred Talk 'Sock' (for the name of the Tabby McTat's cat friend) we wouldn't expect the children to know that they needed the 'ck' sound - in this instance we would expect them to write 's - o - k' or 's - o - c', these are both phonetically correct!
Phonics: Sound Blending 23 and Fred Game 3 - colours!
Today's Sound Blending at Home video will be video 23 and then afterwards there is the next Fred Game all about colours, for example, Fred says 'r - e - d'. Don't forget to try playing this at home afterwards, perhaps Fred might ask you to find food such as 'j - a - m' or 'ch - i - p - s!'
This is one of my favourite things to look at in maths - repeating patterns! Here is the first lesson for you to watch and then an activity for you to complete afterwards, all about finding objects in your house to make patterns out of. There are lots of different combinations you can try, why not send me some pictures on Tapestry of the patterns you make!
