⭐Wake and Shake every morning on Tapestry to get you ready for your busy day learning at home!⭐

Literacy: Cats (Julia Donaldson)

Today you should receive a Missing Cat poster in the post! Please let me know if you havent got it. When you have opened it think about these questions:

Who do you think Tabby McTat is?

Who is Fred?

Where do they live?

How did he get lost?

Do you know where the lion statue is?

Can you draw me a picture of who you think Fred is? What does he look like? How did he lose his cat? You could film yourself talking about Fred and send it to me on Tapestry. Don't forget to keep an eye out for Tabby McTat on your way home....🐈

Phonics: Sound Blending 18 and recap of 'qu'

Today's Sound Blending at Home video will be lesson 18 and then afterwards there is the recap video for the special friends 'qu'. Can you write the sounds 'qu', 'sh', 'th' and 'ch' in your Home Learning books independently?

Maths: Number Order to 10

Today there is another Numberblocks video for you to watch, all about number order to 10. In school we practise counting forwards and backwards to and from 10 lots and lots, often trying to start from numbers that aren't 0. For example, you might ask your child to start counting from 4 to 10 or from 2 to 10. Any opportunity for children to put numbers 1-10 in order independently is brilliant.

Once you have watched the video I would then like you to have a go at ordering numbers on the TopMarks website. Please select Ladybird Spots > Ordering > Smallest to Largest > 1-10.

Here is the link you need to the correct game:

Floating and Sinking

Today I would like you to investigate objects that float and sink. There is a video for you to watch on The Oak Academy and then I would like you to fill your sink with water and find 5 objects that float and 5 objects that sink. Can you send photos of them to me on Tapestry? Can you predict whether they will float or sink before you put them in the water?
