Welcome back to Lovers' Lane to all our families and staff!
It has been a very strong start to the term with the children settling in brilliantly and the new staff too! Thank you to all the families and parents for making our new arrivals welcome and helping them out if they have needed it in true TEAM SWAN style!
The staff have been working hard on developing our curriculum, making sure all the skills and knowledge that the children are learning progress from year to year and the national curriculum is covered, but so are the needs of our children in our school community here at Lovers' Lane. Thank you to Mr Cook for leading on this work.
Around school, a lot has happened during the summer. We have a new heating system installed in the main building and in the Foundation/Key Stage 1 building too and new boilers too. The Foundation flat roof and the flat roof in the main building have been replaced and the pitched roof on the main building has also been replaced. Thank you to Amanda, our site manager from ARC Partnership, who has been excellent in making sure the works have been on time, efficient and everything has been checked up on for health and safety and safeguarding.
The school kitchen has also been taken out and a brand new kitchen will be finished by the time we come back from October half term. We are delighted that this is finally happening and are looking forward to a launch once it is in place and will be inviting family members for a special event to celebrate our new kitchen. More information will follow nearer the time. Until then the kitchen team are doing an amazing job of cooking the hot dinners at Chuter Ede School and transporting them to Lovers' Lane (then back to Chuter Ede to wash up!).
Our school will be all the better for these improvements and our children really deserve the best.
Thanks for your ongoing support.
