The Easter Bunny visits Lovers' Lane with the Rosie May Foundation!
On Thursday 31st March, the Easter Bunny arrived at Lovers' Lane Primary and Nursery School with the Rosie May Foundation Charity in a pink Tuk Tuk! The Tuk Tuk is called Rosie and is part of the work of the charity, who support education in Sri Lanka and Nepal, as well as offering community support in the Bingham and now Newark areas.
The children learn about the work of the Rosie May Foundation in assembly in the morning, then they went outside as the Easter Bunny arrived. They danced with the Easter Bunny to an Easter version of the Hokey Cokey and then the children were all given a tube of smarties.
The children will enjoy eating the smarties, but once they have they will be collecting 20p and £1 coins to fill the tubes, then return them to school to support education and community spirity in Sri Lanka, Nepal and in our local area.
We took some brilliant photos to show you what happened on the day...
