Reading Week and World Book Day fun!
This week is Reading Week and World Book Day is on Thursday 3rd March 2022! 📚
There will be reading activities all week to help create a love of reading for the children and the children are invited to come in dress-up on Thursday 3rd March, which is National World Book Day. This could be a favourite book character OR we are trying something new this year. Your child can come dressed as a word. Here are some example words: brave, sparkly, sleepy, artistic, vibrant, blustery, hilarious, spotty…..if it’s a word, it can be a dress up! The children can write their word on them or have it on paper.
Other activities through the week will include:
Monday:
Children will be trying to discover which teacher is reading which book with Lovers’ Lane’s very own ‘Masked Reader’! ‘Who’s that, who’s that, who’s that behind the mask?’
Tuesday:

After school there will be a book sale for any children and parents who would like to come and buy a book for 50p. School Council will be leading this and organising the event with support from staff.
