Fab February changes at Lovers' Lane!
From 1st February some great changes are starting at school.
PTA funded Trim Trail
Last year the PTA raised enough funding for the children to have a brilliant new climbing frame 'Trim Trail' on our school field (grass area) at the back of school. In assemblies the children voted on the design they liked the best from a choice of options. Their chosen design was confirmed with the contractors, who have started work on installing the trim trail this week. This is fantastic as it will give our brilliant children something fun to look forward to when we can get back to normal at school.
EYFS Outdoor Area refurbishment
Also, our outdoor area has looked very tired for some time, so we have saved and have raised the money to improve this area. From 1st February, the old flooring and equipment in the area are being cleared and a new surface of artificial grass will be installed, alongside some new equipment for our youngest children to enjoy in their outdoor learning. This is a major priority on the school improvement plan to boost the quality of the environment for learning and make it a pleasant and fun place to play and learn. The children in our school who live in flats and the many who do not have an outdoor green space will have their own area which is grassy and safe. We will also have a sand pit, water wall and the gravel pit and mud kitchen will remain.
We are saving next for a new critical thinking climbing frame and a reading area, as well as storage sheds. If you can help, please get in touch.
