Lovers' Lane Primary on the BBC News - Tuesday 28th November...

Lovers' Lane in the news...

On Monday and Tuesday, the BBC National News reporter Adina Campbell and her cameraman have been filming at Lovers' Lane Primary and Nursery for a section about Social Mobility and how schools are supporting children and families. One of the areas in the country with higher social mobility is the East Midlands, so we have been approached as a school with many examples of good practice. This is great news for Lovers' Lane!

During the visit, they filmed sections of the inspirational assembly with Michael Johnson (Ex Birmingham City, Notts County, Jamaican International footballer) and Rhythmic Mike (a performance poet); saw the children leading a Take 5 breathing session; interviewed parents about the school and children about what they want to do when they grow up. They also interviewed Miss Hodgkinson as the headteacher about how the school is constantly working hard to ensure the best for the children.

Tune in on Tuesday 28th November at 1pm, 6pm or 10pm to see Lovers' Lane on the BBC National News.
