CORONAVIRUS SCHOOL CLOSURE AND INFORMATION ABOUT KEY WORKER PUPILS LETTER
Today a letter has gone to parents explaining the plans at Lovers' Lane with school closure for all pupils except the children of 'Key Workers' who do not have any form of alternative child-care and vulnerable pupils in line with government instruction.
Pupils with Premium Free School Meals (the Free School Meals which are applied for and linked to family income/benefits - NOT the Universal Free School meals for infant pupils (EYFS/KS1) will be provided with a packed lunch from school from Monday, whether they are attending school or are at home. These will be distributed from the big gate on the playground to Warburton Street between 11am and 11.30am. Families who are on the FSM list should come to get their packed lunch where staff will check them off on a register and check they are ok.
School is operating a 9am to 3.30pm school day for the children who will need to be in school. They will do the same work as the children who are home learning, but staff will be on hand to support them and give feedback. There will be a rota of staff through the week which will repeat until further notice so that staff can take maximum time social distancing at home and will only work with the same 3-5 other colleagues one day per week. This is also intended to help with staff child care or ability to support/ care for older dependents, such as elderly parents.
The school mobile number is available as an ongoing point of contact as well as the main school number 01636 683353, which will be manned by the Headteacher or Senior Leaders throughout the school closure ensuring families have a point of contact, no matter what.
The school mobile phone number is: 07305 671199
Take care and stay safe.
best wishes from all at Lovers' Lane
