⭐Wake and Shake every morning on Tapestry to get you ready for your busy day learning at home!⭐
Literacy: The Little Red Hen
Today we are going to 'story step' the character of The Little Red Hen. This is explained in the video below. As part of Talk 4 Writing we try to explore the characters in a story in as much detail as we can so that the children are completely familiar with the story before they move up to Year One.
Phonics: Sound Blending 9 and recap of 'j'
Today we are going to watch Sound Blending at Home 9 and recap the sound 'j'. After the videos I'd like you to choose two sounds that we have looked at previously, along with 'j' and ask your child to write them in their Home Learning book.
Maths: Number bonds to 5
Here is a Numberblocks video recapping the part whole model we looked at earlier in the week. After you have watched it, please choose another activity from the number bonds booklet you downloaded yesterday. Please send photo's of the activities your child has completed to Tapestry 🙂

The Great Lovers' Lane Bake Off
Please see the letter below regarding The Great Lovers' Lane Bake Off as part of our screen-free Friday:
Thank you so much for all the support you are giving the children and school in these really challenging times. We understand that it is really hard to balance everything and we think you are all amazing! Many of our staff are parents and they too are trying to do their own job, keep the house, organise everything that family life brings and complete home learning on top. It isn't easy for anyone and we really appreciate all you are doing.
In order to promote well-being we are not going to hold any live Teams lessons next Friday afternoon (5th February) and instead we would encourage you all to do something together as a family and would therefore like to invite you to take part in the 'Great Lovers' Lane Bake Off'.
Please send your teacher a picture of your bakes and Mrs Hassall will judge the winner. The winning prize will be a yummy cake for to enjoy with your family without having to cook it!
Please send entries to Mr Cook - firstname.lastname@example.org - by Wednesday 10th February.
