F1 Part-Time Children

Welcome to the Foundation 1 Class Page

On here you can find out lots of information about what we are learning.


In the Foundation Stage, your child's learning is guided by the statutory requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage. This is composed of 7 areas of learning. Below you can find more information about each area of learning and some photos of activities we have been doing to support each area. 

F1's Spring Term’s Latest News

We enjoyed dressing up as our favourite book character for World Book Day!

We’ve enjoyed doing some den building in the F1 classroom! We worked as a team t make our den!

We had a visit from a Veterinarian Nurse and she brought her dog along so we could use a stethoscope to listen to his heartbeat!

We’ve had a very exciting visit from the PCSO! We got to try on his helmet and go in the Police van!

We had some Firefighters come in the see us and we got to go on their Fire Engine! Thank you for coming to visit us!

After our visit from some Firefighters we decided to make our own 5 Little Firemen with our hands!

Have a look at some of the exciting activities we did in the Autumn Term!

Jake the Elf needed saving so we've been making paper chains to help him! We've used our fine motor skills to make paper chains and our counting skills to count the loops we needed!

We've been reading the story 'Stick Man' so we decided to make our own Stick Man to use on our story shelf!

We've been painting poppies for Remembrance Day and made a lovely display on our school gates!

We've been baking bread like Little Red Hen!!

F1 Timetable










A few reminders


  • PE is on a Thursday and we ask please can you send your child in their PE kit. The PE kit includes navy/black jogging bottoms or leggings for girl, plain black or navy shorts, plain white t-shirt,  navy jumper or sweatshirt and trainers for outdoors, plimsolls for indoors. 





  • Forest School is on a Friday, please make sure your child comes in suitable clothing for having lots of fun the outside area which includes warm clothing and wellington boots.





  • Reading – Your child should be reading at least 4 times a week to be in line with the new school expectations. We change books on a Monday and only if the reading diary shows you have been reading at home.


  • Home fun – Each week with your child we ask please can you complete at least 1 home fun task. We collect the home fun books in on a Tuesday and send them out again on a Thursday.
