Uniform
Our vision at Lovers’ Lane Primary and Nursery School is to ensure we are ‘Empowering Everyday Excellence’ and we are proud to have high expectations in all areas. We take great pride in fostering an atmosphere of equality, identity and belonging for all the pupils in our school.
One way we support this is through our school uniform policy. While we understand uniform can be a topic of debate, we believe it plays a key role in creating a positive, focused school environment.
Here are some reasons why we believe school uniforms are important:
- Everyone feels equal - Uniforms help all students feel the same.
- Better focus on learning – With uniforms, children worry less about clothes and can concentrate more on their learning.
- Teaches habits of high standards
- Feel part of the school – Uniforms help students feel proud and like they belong to the school community.
- Safer – It’s easier to see who belongs to the school, which helps keep children safe.
As a result, we expect all pupils from Nursery through to Year 6 to wear the specified school uniform. Please find below the expectations for both school uniform and school PE kit.
