Annual Schools Remembrance Service ⛪

Today Year 6 have attended the Mayor’s annual Schools Remembrance wreath laying and service. As a class Year 6 had sewn individual poppies to add to a number of whole class wreaths to lay at the annual Remembrance Service.

The children were a credit to the school and we have had some lovely emails from important people involved in the service. Please see below the messages below we have received that show what a credit to the school all our children are.

Hi Miss Williams,

Thank you for attending this morning’s service.

Your wreaths were superb and you have the grateful thanks of the Deputy Mayor and the Chairman of Newark & Sherwood District Council. Every other adult guest also commented on how good they were. To protect them from the elements, they are now inside the church, at the altar in the chapel remembering those who have fallen.

Thanks again,

Ian

Hi Miss Williams,

Having just arrived home from the Remembrance Service at the Parish Church this morning, I would like to thank the class who made the wreath for me to place on the Memorial .

It was lovely and clearly it must have taken quite a time to stick the poppies on individually. Very well done and thank you.

Kind regards,

Sue
