This week we visited St Mary Magdalene Church in Newark to take part in a Harvest Festival service. It was lovely to be back in church as we haven’t been for a long time.
All the children were a very respectful and enjoyed the service. Some Year 5 and Year 6 children read poems, readings and prayers and they did a wonderful job reading them. They were a credit to the school and were Lovers’ Lane SWANs.
We would like to say thank to Reverend Chris for leading the service and allowing us to come to church for the Harvest Festival service. Also we would like to say a big thank you to all our parents and carers who have donated a huge amount of harvest items which will go to the Newark food bank to support families in Newark.
